SheetrockandShowers Debut

Finally, I Got the Man to Publish

J P Whickson
After over a year of nagging, I finally managed to accomplish my goal. My life partner Mike and his son Mike (There is absolutely no creativity in that family when it comes to names.), the bookends of construction and artists in their own right have published. Little Mike, who is bigger than Big Mike, my life partner, loves photography and does a few jobs for hire. Big Mike has an eye for what can be, when looking at a remodeling job and the talent to make it happen. They both take pictures on the job and give their clients an album with before and after pictures when they do a big job. That's what made me start nagging them to publish some of those pictures online.

Both love to share their knowledge and if you've read many of the articles I've written, you know that date night often consists of a trip to Menards with a lecture on new materials. I've always felt that the information he shares with me would provide avid home remodelers with a valuable resource. I know that I now am far more informed than I ever really wanted to be, when it comes to remodeling or the building trades. You've seen the pictures Big Mike took on some of my articles. Here's one of them. http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/782211/florist_in_elkhart_indiana_talks_business.html?cat=23
I've also used some of the pictures on other articles I've written at different sites, particularly those of the finished bathrooms and the construction along the way. They're so good, a client flies them to Maine each year to work on his vacation home. The pictures attached to this article are from that trip.

They don't have their profile picture up, they have a limited profile...which I wrote because they were typing too slowly for my taste, but they do have a slide show and will be posting videos as they work on various projects as the year passes. Hopefully, I will no longer have to listen to Mike as he talks back to the TV or Internet when he watches someone recommending a method of construction that is antiquated, incorrect or simply not practical. He and Michael, the dynamic duo, will simply make a video to correct the inaccuracy.

Please stop by and visit "Sheetrockandshowers" and give them a hardy welcome. Here's the link to their first slide show on an outside project. Their first publication is building the foundation on a room addition. Since outside work is not their norm, it's an unusual project.

Good stuff my friend. I love happy endings....and, thanks for your message of compassion and love. I never knew my father and my mother dumped me off at the Queens so this family is so special to me. Thanks so much friend. I'll be struggling with this for some time but I know that we will all see her again. You are just too kind to me my friend. Your friendship is just indescribable and I value it so much. I am so thankful to know you and treasure your words of comfort and this message means so much to me my friend...many blessings,

    Jack : - )
