The Everman Animal Shelter in Everman, Texas had around 20 puppies in July.
"Roger and I had the pleasure of meeting Theresa, the animal control officer at the Everman Animal Shelter when we took some food to them - they had opened their last bag of dog food that day," said Marybelle Denton, an animal shelter volunteer and activist. "Theresa has been the ACO at the Everman facility since February of this year - only accepting the job after they said they would let her run it as she thought it should be run. Roger and I were in awe of the work these amazing ladies are accomplishing - Theresa is very adamant about following up on making sure the animals that are adopted from the shelter are getting fixed which is so very important and yet so often overlooked which only adds to the problem."
The shelter, also in need of monetary contributions, is located at 3961 Bluebell Drive in Everman and the phone number is 817-561-5495.
Adoption fees are $30 which include shots (consists of rabies vaccine also) and a $4 registration fee if you live in Everman and must get your pet fixed.
Those interested in volunteering may contact Marybelle Denton at marybelle.denton@lmco.com.
Animal shelters have been going through an incredible amount of food and supplies with the recession, especially.
