Acheron wanted to have solid proof that Zarek was dangerous and not able to be changed.

Acheron calls upon Astrid, the Greek Nymph of Justice to spend two weeks with Zarek and observe him to judge him. But is two weeks enough to dig into the depths of this callous, cold hearted and cruel man's black heart to decide his fate? Zarek's never believed in the old adage 'the most damned man can be forgiven'. But Astrid strikes a chord in Zarek that makes this wild beast want to be tame and human again. Astrid becomes his shining star reaching out to him in the darkness.
