Sherwin-Williams "Restless" and Bright 2011 Paint Colors

The Sherwin-Williams "Restless" interior paint color collection 2011 is like a small toddler: it can't sit still. The vibrant hues spread energy and excitement. If you plan on staying in your current home for a while, consider one of these bold hues. These are not recommended for any house going on the market. Buyers like neutrals and clean slate, not an expressive Matisse-inspired wall color.

Sherwin-Williams "Restless" and Bright 2011 Paint Colors

These colors are paired with more saturated hues including an indigo blue, a deep forest green and wine-like burgundy. A pretty and enticing purple provides a color bridge between those darker hues and these brighter ones in the 2011 paint color collection Sherwin-Williams likes to call "Restless."

Exuberant Pink

Exuberant Pink demands attention, like a two-year-old girl having her own princess moment. The color is bright and should be used in moderation. Try it as a an accent color on the back of a door. Pick up the perky pink color in home decor accessories, including graphic floral prints. Tone it down with the other, lighter colors from the Sherwin-Williams 2011 collection. Use it with a calming and sophisticated Monorail Silver (SW 7663) and the grounding Indigo Batick blue.

Gypsy Red

Gypsy Red is another color on the verge of a temper tantrum, but in a good way. You cannot ignore Gypsy Red but you can tame with with the earthy Hopsack (SW-6109) and hints of deep green Eclipse. You could turn the bright red up a notch with the royal Purple Passage and use Monorail Silver to tie it all together.

All that Glitters: Golds, Yellows and Earthy Tones

Not to be upstaged by their louder sister and brother colors, the yellows in the 2011 paint color collection Sherwin-Williams "Restless" can't be ignored.

Alchemy

Alchemy ( SW 6395) is a warm and comforting yellow which will be at home in the kitchen, den or dining room. Use with a bright white and the Indigo Batick for a graphic effect. The Alchemy works with the Purple Passage, and you can rely the earthy Hopsack to keep the room from looking too lofty.

Glitzy Gold

Glitzy Gold (SW 6691) ventures on the brighter side of the yellow spectrum, but retains that almost dusty mustard appeal.

Armagnac

Armagnac (SW 6354) provides the sweet caramel topping you need in the kitchen or living room. With hints of brown this Sherwin-Williams wall color looks like orange in shadow. It's not a blinding orange, but it's intriguing.

Good suggestions. I need to do something with these white walls.

My dining room is arctic blue and right now my kitchen is Bright Yellow. I'm going to paint the kitchen, I wonder if one of these colors will work well with the arctic blue.

For indoor paints, I like Sherwin Williams the best.
