Sheryl Crow, Sugarland, Miranda Lambert and Sarah MacLachlan Included in Lilith Fair 2010 Lineup

Lilith Fair 2010 has officially received the green light! Among the cities announced: New York, Los Angeles, Seattle, Portland, Minneapolis, Denver, Boston, Atlanta and London! Here is the official list of cities served (so far):

Artists for the 2010 Lilith Fair will include: Tegan and Sara, Mary J. Blige, Brandi Carlile, A Fine Frenzy, Butterfly Boucher, Grace Potter and the Nocturnals, Jewel, Miranda Lambert, Sugarland, The Indigo Girls, Ingrid Michaelson, Colbie Caillat, Sarah McLachlan, Jill Hennessy, Tara MacLean, Donna Delory and Sheryl Crow.

Sarah McLachlan stated the following on the Lilith Fair 2010 official website:

"Being a part of Lilith Fair was inspiring on so many levels. Besides discovering new music everyday and sharing the stage with an incredible array of talented women, it was wonderful to see established and new artists alike have the opportunity to play in front of much larger or more diverse audiences than usual. With that in mind, I am thrilled to announce thefirst set of artists for Lilith 2010."

It has been over a decade since the last Lilith Fair made headlines across the United States and Canada. These shows will undoubtedly sell out quickly, so keep your eye on the ticket release dates to have the best opportunity to grab your seat at the fair! More headlines are likely to be announced as the tour gains publicity and popularity. Venues will also be announced.

Here's a little more information on the history of Lilith Fair according to the official website:

From 1997 through 1999, Lilith Fair was one of the highest grossing touring festivals in the world, with over 1.5 million fans in attendance and raising over $10 million dollars for national and local charities. Founded by Grammy-award winning artist Sarah McLachlan along with Dan Fraser, Marty Diamond and Terry McBride, Lilith Fair was the only tour of its kind-a celebration of women in music featuring artists like Sheryl Crow, Christina Aguilera, Erykah Badu, The Dixie Chicks, Missy Elliot, The Pretenders, Nelly Furtado, Jewel, Queen Latifah, Indigo Girls, Tegan and Sara and of course, Sarah McLachlan.

Nearly 6 months ago, Nettwerk CEO and Lilith Fair co-founder Terry McBride announced that the all-female festival would make its return in Summer 2010.
