"Shocking Twist to the Branding of the McCain Support"

Ashley Todd a McCain Supporter Goes the Extra Mile

(
There's the old saying, "Don't believe everything you hear", or better yet don't be dim-witted enough to report on it. The Fox network, a McCain friendly network, went right to work without vetting the story of the alleged mugging of a McCain supporter and republican phone bank volunteer. According to Ashley Todd, 20, told police that the suspect, described only as a dark-skinned African-American man about 6'4", stole $60 from her and became enraged after seeing a bumper sticker supporting Republican Presidential Candidate John McCain on her car. Todd went on to say in her statement with the police said she was robbed at an ATM at the corner of Liberty Avenue and Pearl Street in the Bloomfield area around 9 p.m.

Todd went on to tell the police that the big bad black Obama supporter had a knife and demanded her money. Todd then added climax to the story by saying that she was knocked down to the ground, and then branded with a "B", like some cow. Todd added in her statement some comical relief, by saying that the man became enraged at the McCain sticker on her car.

The police went right to work calling paramedics, but Todd declined medical treatment. It might have been because anyone in there right mind would have noticed that the "B" was backwards. The police said that they were going to look at the footage and see if they could get a good look at the assailant - that must have been a video worth watching!

The news got out to the campaigns and the Obama campaign was the first to give their statement saying "This is a horrendous act of violence. Our thoughts and prayers are with the young woman for her to make a speedy recovery, and we hope that the person who perpetrated this crime is swiftly apprehended and brought to justice." McCain jumped on the bandwagon and gave their statement saying, "We're shaken up by this. It's sick and disgusting."

Before he knew it, Joe, the unlicensed, back-taxes-owning plumber, had to move over: within 24 hours, Todd through a wrench in his parade. The good thing was thatMcCain and Palin held back from using Todd in all their speeches; there is a good chance Joseph Chappel, 38-year-old McCain speechwriter, had some speeches ready to go.

This political hoax may just be the first of many to come in the last 11 days of this race. So the question is "Does McCain approves of this message?" Probably not, but I would have loved to hear his true opinion about African-American men in society.
