On the other hand, no one is giving Bristol the respect she deserves. She is NOT getting calculated votes from her mother, Sarah Palin's, Tea Party supporters. Let me rephrase. Of course she's getting Tea Party supporters. Of course she's getting "Dancing with the Stars" voters. She's getting an eclectic number of voters, just like every other celebrity on the show.
There is never rhyme or reason to why people get kicked off of reality shows. This is the name of the game. Be prepared for anything, and this season has not been any different. With everyone dancing beautiful dances last night, it was anyone's game.
We've seen in previous years, on reality shows like "American Idol" and "Dancing with the Stars," that, when judges pick who they think should be in the finals, America does not always agree. AND, as their votes are the swaying votes, they get the last say.
Why Bristol is in the "Dancing with the Stars" Finals
There isn't a question that Bristol is not as good of a dancer as Jennifer Grey. Have we forgotten that Grey danced with Patrick Swayze? Come on now, that says something tremendous. We know she's now older and deals with major pain, but we can't forget she is not a newbie to dancing. She's more like an old pro who is dancing her socks off.
Bristol, on the other hand, has never danced. She has proved to herself and American that she can dance and well. The problem is that her scores do not ever reflect her dancing ability. She deserved 10s last night but was stuck with 9s from the judges.
There has always been something about Bristol Palin that has a swaying effect on the voters. She is sweet, truthful, and very fresh. Truth be told, that is something that is new on the "DWTS" show. Almost all of the celebrities who have come on the show have been primed and ready for the public eye. That hasn't been the case for Bristol. Every step of the way has been a learning curve and a new experience. She's a newbie and has definitely shown "DWTS" viewers that she can hold her on!
Why did Bristol get the votes and not Brandy?

Post a CommentYou actually think Bristol can dance? Ackwardness - thy name is Bristol. I actually wince when she is on stage. She is absolutely unable to flex her body, nor is she able to create and sustain a "performance" - this is actually about dancing/performing - not about being nice. A right wing conspiracy??? You are way too "Foxed out. Mama Grizzly knows lots of people. She worksit, works it, works it. After all - wouldn't it be sooooo appropriate if she actually won the competition. She does, after all, give talks on abstinance(sp) - after having sex and giving birth. Dropped jaws? For good reason.
Bristol has demonstrated that she cannot dance. The judges have been too kind. There is something going on this season. And I would suspect the Tea Party.
You are going to be cast out of the media fraternity in very short order.
Heresy I say. Bristol Palin having a fairly decent reason for being in the finals apart from some vile 'rightist' conspiracy?
Not possible.
I personally, like you, thought Palin's dances on Monday deserved at least ONE Ten. The judges had best get with the program and give her some of the benefit of the doubt, or next week will be REALLY shocking. I can't see the Bristol Express slowing down very much between now and then, but whoever wins I'm good with it.
ps -- Too bad about Brandy but her partner is a completely ungracious bozo, imao, and may well have cost her votes in the end.
Bristol is simply more likeable. No one will vote for someone they don't like. Brandy was snippy early on, as was her partner, a big turn off! It's not just about dancing. Brandy kept saying, how hard they worked. They ALL worked hard. She is a great dancer though.....
