Shoe Trends for Spring 2008

Right now it's 24 degrees outside, the snow is falling, and I have a major case of cabin fever. I just can't wait for winter to be over and warm weather to be here. Luckily, the stores are filling up with the new spring items, and there is no better cure for the winter blues than looking at gorgeous candy-colored peek-a-boo toe sandals and bright orange wedges.

For spring 2008, you can say goodbye to the boring black shoe, and say hello to the brightly colored. This Spring you will find hot pink pumps, purple wedges, and citrus Mary Janes. This spring's line of shoes features lots of bright candy-colored shoes, as well as juicy citrus colors like orange, yellow, and lime green. One of my favorite Spring Shoes is the Luichiny Silva. It is a great Spring platform shoe with a carved out hell and comes in bright vibrant colors such as orange, green, and pink. I found it on Zappos.com for just $92.95 with free shipping. For those who love animal prints this is the shoe season for you. This spring prints are everywhere from animal prints, to retro graphic prints, to floral prints, prints are all the rage this season. Gucci's Spring line is full of prints, you can find black and white cow print flats, wedges, and peek-a-boo pumps, as well as snake skin wedges, and classic Gucci print flats. You can view the Spring Gucci line here. Gucci isn't the only line with classic retro prints, Coach's spring line also offers several shoes that feature their signature Coach print. My favorite of these is Coach's Perry which features the classic Coach print in bright candy colors. You can view the Perry here. This same print is also available in a ballet flat, sling back sandal, and sneaker.

Another retro throwback is this springs trend for color block shoes, which feature big blocks of contrasting colors. One of my favorite's for this spring is Naughty Monkey's Colorful Talk Pump. You can choose from three color options, the first is the white, hot pink and black pattern, the second is the white, bright green, and yellow pattern, and lastly is the yellow, red, and black pattern.
