Shontelle and VEET Launch a Successful Partnership at a New York City Party

One of the many perks of being a freelance journalist is the ability to get into many industry parties and events. However, this was the first party I was invited to based on my work on Associated Content. When I first got the e-mail I was shocked that people actually truly read my Associated Content articles.

The event I attended was the VEET Spray On Soiree at M2 Ultra Lounge in New York City. The event featured a performance from pop star Shontelle and announced her as a VEET spokesperson.

The event was heavily attended and featured a photobooth where guests had the opportunity to show off their summer looks, a spray on tattoo booth and an editable video wall. Throughout the evening music was spun and the party goers showed off their best moves. Various Smirnoff Summer Inspired Cocktails including Tuscan Lemonade, Pomegranate Martini, Vodka Mojito and a Grand Cosmopolitan, were served through the night to the energetic New York City crowd.

The highlight of the evening was definitely Bajan pop star Shontelle's performance. She came armed with a four piece band and two background singers. Although the sound quality was not the best at M2 Ultra Lounge she rocked the crowd.

The Shontelle set opened with Superwoman. The crowd was into the song from the first note and that excitement built even higher throughout the set.

The conscious Battle Cry which was featured on Yes We Can: Voices of a Grassroots Movement which benefitted the Presidential campaign of Barack Obama had the crowd swaying in unison. Although the song has such a strong message, the audience definitely enjoyed it.

Cold Cold Summer followed next. The blues heavy track even featured a strong guitar solo which had the audience on their feet.

The track Roll which was co-written by Shontelle was next. The track was originally performed by Allison Hinds and later recorded by J Status featuring Rihanna and Shontelle. The crowd danced along as Shontelle delivered another strong performance.

She closed with her first single the StarGate produced T-Shirt. The song had all the females in the audience singing along. She left to a raucous applause as the audience dispersed to get their VEET and M&M goodie bags. Shontelle's debut album Shontelligence is not available in stores.

The evening was a huge success and successfully launched the partnership between Shontelle and VEET. Although you may not truly believe it, Associated Content is a great place for journalists and everyday people to come together and write incredible articles.
