That leads into the unknown
That forward move that is so unfamiliar
You feel adrift and all alone
And although you cannot go back in time
Think about the good that lies ahead
New experiences are waiting to be lived
Face them with anticipation--never dread
Once you make that first step
The frightening unknown begins to wane
You find yourself looking toward the future
Clouds disappear and clear skies reign
There will always be rough patches along the path
But they will teach you who you are meant to be
They will give you the strength to forge ahead
And find the joy in all that you see
We all must move ahead in life
We never want to peak too soon
Always have goals that lead to a new tomorrow
Create dreams that shoot past the moon

Well done. I like dreams.
awesome :)
If you had a typo - it would be called Shoot the Moon which opens up all kind of intriguing possibilities.
Love the way you wrote this, to show that the sky is not the limit.
Fear forward is one of my daily mantras! Another inspiring work of poetry Donna!
