Shooters: A Slice of Heaven on Cleveland's West Bank

Summertime is in full blown fun downtown in the flats of Cleveland, the Cleveland Flats. An industrial and mostly abandoned area where reconstruction and betterment projects sprung up all along the Cuyahoga River. It is where people, fun, alcohol and good times flow like a great song. Our local broadcast radio station WNCX 98.5 FM is currently jamming on the stage at Shooters off the West Bank and I am in my bedroom enjoying the journey without spending money for gas, booze, laughter or even tears. But I am here enjoying it and that is a great thing.

The radio is blasting out gently popular requests for the two hour stint the dee-jay is staying for, "Rock Candy baby" by who? Oh well somebody from Lakewood just requested it so it plays. Not popular in my book but this is just the music playing, in the background you faintly hear a crowd of people socializing. Shooters has several locations in which its service, entertainment choices, food menu items, are all top notch but the location, location, location is most important. The West Bank Shooters location is more scintillating to the common bar-hopper. And this is not really just some bar folks; nope this is an experience. Why? because you get what you pay for with an ambient atmosphere conducive to beginning life-long relationships of any capacity.

It is an establishment where thinkers meet to discuss their views on the socialization practices of Americans, after a long hard workday in or out of the office still work-related, as they slowly unwind their too-tightly-turned spool and fluidly become one with their audience. Both a non-drinker and drinker can enjoy the atmosphere and the food is exceptionally delicious when served with the perfect coctail or mixed drink. The staff takes heart in its customers and offers genuine advantage of fine dining on short order and waterfront footage to make a memorable experience at Shooters on the west Bank of The Cleveland Flats !

As these individuals see themselves unfolding at each drink, they establish rapport on common ground with other concerned American citizens, not even aware that the interaction sends a message of cosmic proportion. These people care about economy, political interference, government control, loss of our rights altogether, absolute worst healthcare plan going for us and so much more. The interaction is great and the atmosphere, again, conducive to building respectable relations between Clevelanders and the numerous visitors we get to our wonderful 'piece of cake' by the lake.

Make no mistake about Cleveland, it has many attractions for many different kinds of people and people can open up and share, or not, about their lives with other people in a comfortable and safe surrounding. Generally when there is alcohol involved there will be some unlocking of closed doors or at least raising of windows. It will happen, it is inevitable. Alcohol raises our blood pressure but it also lowers our inhibitions and we disclose more than we normally would, and that can be very intriguing.

In some cases the place gets so loud because of the influx of beautiful minds you cannot even hear yourself think, but if you are gifted in the art of reading lips, you can entertain with as much gesticulation as necessary to get your point across. If they won't be laughing at least you have their attention and can make them laugh eventually.

Cleveland has many great locations for meeting up with friends after the long day at the office. Right here in the Downtown Flats of Cleveland, Shooters is the establishment where bonding over good food, fine spirits and great conversation makes for a great night on the west Bank of Cleveland in the Downtown Cleveland Flats in Ohio.
