Shooting Guard (SG) Deep Sleepers - Top 3

Gary Neal - SA - sg

As an undrafted free agent, Neal made his NBA debut last season and quickly carved out his niche roll in the Spurs veteran lineup. As the top backup behind the somewhat injury prone Manu Ginobili, there is plenty of reason to believe that Neal will be able to tally 20-25 minutes per game this season. Unfortunately, Neal had to undergo an appendectomy on December 12th and will be forced to miss the first couple weeks of the season. However when he returns to the court, Neal should quickly find his place in the Spurs rotation.

2010-2011 Stats: 45.1 fg% -- 9.8 ppg -- 1.6 3pt -- 2.5 reb -- 1.2 ast -- 0.3 stl -- 0.1 blk

2011-2012 Projected Stats: 46 fg% -- 12.0 ppg -- 1.5 3pt -- 2.5 reb -- 1.5 ast -- 0.4 stl -- 0.1 blk

Wes Johnson - Min - sg/sf

Drafted #4 overall in the 2010 NBA draft, Johnson was an immediate starter in the Timberwolves lineup at SG last season. With a year of experience under his belt, Johnson is a solid all-around player who could easily make the leap into becoming a steady stat contributor in fantasy basketball leagues. Offering solid rebounding for a shooting guard, as well as solid three point ability, assists, steals and block potential, Johnson is poised to make some noise in fantasy basketball leagues this season.

2010-2011 Stats: 39.7 fg% -- 9.0 ppg -- 1.3 3pt -- 3.0 reb -- 1.9 ast -- 0.7 stl -- 0.7 blk

2011-2012 Projected Stats: 42 fg% -- 12.0 ppg -- 1.5 3pt -- 4.0 reb -- 2.0 ast -- 1.0 stl -- 0.7 blk

Rodrigue Beaubois - Dal - pg/sg

A part-time starter for the Mavericks last season, Beaubois showed that he can be a solid contributor in several stat categories if given enough minutes. Combining a little three point shooting, assists, and steals ability, Beaubois has plenty of potential to become a 10 points, 4 assists, 1 three pointer and 1 steal per game type of player if given just 20-25 minutes per game this season. Add in the Jason Kidd age factor at PG, and Beaubois could be looking at around 30 minutes played per game this season.

2010-2011 Stats: 42.2 fg% -- 8.4 ppg -- 0.9 3pt -- 1.9 reb -- 2.3 ast -- 0.7 stl -- 0.3 blk

2011-2012 Projected Stats: 45 fg% -- 10.0 ppg -- 1.0 3pt -- 2.0 reb -- 4.0 ast -- 1.0 stl -- 0.2 blk
