The Detroit Athletic Company Stocks Hard to Find Detroit Tigers Items
Detroit, MI 48201
United States of America
If you attended games at Tiger Stadium, you may remember the store by the name of The Designated Hatter, the Detroit Athletic Company is located in the building once occupied by the Designated Hatter. The store looks small from the outside and it is small on the inside, however, the amount of Detroit Tigers merchandise is a gold mine for a true Tigers fan. You can find many of the same items that are being sold at Comerica Park but, at The Detroit Athletic Company, you will pay on average, at least 25% less for the same merchandise. I visited the store before the game on Tuesday and purchased a Detroit Tigers jip-up hoody that I had first seen at Comerica Park Re-Tail shop for $65.00. The Detroit Athletic Company has the same exact item for $49.99. I price checked about ten items on Tuesday and came to the conclusion that most items will be found at a 20-25% savings at the Detroit Athletic Company.
Less expensive pricing and saving money are not the only reasons to check out the Detroit Tigers merchandise at this store, either. You can find quite a few items that are not readily available elsewhere and if you are looking for rare items, like the old green seats from pre-renovated Tiger Stadium, you may find them at The Detroit Athletic Co. The store not only stocks new MLB merchandise, but they also have collectors items, like old programs, posters, bobble-heads and more.
The Detroit Athletic Company is easy to find, on Michigan Avenue about a block west of Tiger stadium and only a short drive from Comerica Park. If you are looking to save a little cash or looking for a hard to find Detroit Tigers collectible, you will definitely locate a Detroit Tigers item you would like to add to your wardrobe or collection. The store is open Monday through Saturday 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
