Nearly all of the supplies available in the walk-in store are available online. After looking at the website (hobbylobby.com/shop), almost all of the sections that get me in trouble when I physically go to a Hobby Lobby store are available. Jewelry, arts, crafts, needlework, clothing, etc. are all there. I didn't see much in the way of furniture or home decoration in the online store, but perhaps this will come in the future. It's just exciting to see that I can now get in trouble from my home office for spending money on yarn for another blanket I want to crochet, and that I don't have to waste gas to do it.
There is free shipping on purchases of over $25, too. As any Hobby Lobby enthusiast knows, this is not a difficult amount of money to spend at the store, not because the prices are high, but because there are always cool things to buy that a.) we actually need to complete a project, or b.) that we think we need to complete the project but that end up in our closet in another clear plastic storage container for future use.
If you still prefer to head to the Hobby Lobby store in person and peruse aisle after aisle of crafting excitement, be sure to take one of their infamous 40% off coupons with you. You can usually purchase one item at 40% off the price if you have one of these coupons. How do you get one? They usually come out once a week in Hobby Lobby's e-mail newsletter, or you can get one from Hobby Lobby's website. Sometimes, other special deals are offered instead of the 40% off coupon, such as their after-season sales, where items and decorations go on serious sale.
Head over to Hobby Lobby's online shop, take a look around, and try not to spend too much over your budget allotted for your crafting addiction. I'm a much bigger fan of Hobby Lobby than Michaels or any other hobby store, and I'm so glad to see that they've taken the next step of offering many of their products online. If you can't spend any money on the site, make sure to check out the sites crafting ideas and tips. Submit your own tips online to help other crafters make the most of their projects.
