LetsCook
To some people shopping is an outlet, a chance to get out of the house. They enjoy walking about the stores or even going to malls. Window shopping, having something new to look at or just see what the upcoming trends and color schemes are for the new year.

There are however some individuals who are shopaholics. According to Wikipedia the definitions of a shopaholic is described in two ways.

"Shopaholic is a term used to describe individuals who consider themselves as addicted to shopping.

And then a shopaholic can be described as:

A slang term for Compulsive Shopping; also known as Compulsive buying disorder."

These individuals may or may not actually enjoy shopping. It is a craving similar to a disease that overcomes them and it can't be quenched until they shop. There might not be any items that this individual actually needs or wants but just has to have because they feel they were born to shop. Being a shopaholic is a sickness that warrants help from family, friends or a counselor in town.

If you live in Mississippi there is a group called the Mississippi Counseling Association that is designed to help all types of disorders. Their online website has counselors in all areas and regions of Mississippi. There may be one in your town or city as well. This is something that should be looked into and discussed with the individual who suffers from this condition. This compulsion to shop can lead to more serious emotional problems as well as continually putting stress upon their family and loved ones.

Other people are more serious shoppers. They are not out to grab at straws but actually calculate which items are on sale and are popular during certain seasons, holidays and specific stores. This is great if you have the time to concentrate on the different types of merchandise and when it becomes available. Then know when the sales are best and hold off until that time rolls around before making your purchases.

If you go through each month and watch to see what the biggest items the retail stores are pushing out the door you will eventually have a chart of their activity. Once you see that chart in front of you it is easy to determine when the best time it is to buy tires or major appliances or even gardening supplies.

And here we have such a chart or breakdown. It is split out by the months and within each month includes a list of the most popular items that are put on sale. So if you are looking for a new piece of luggage and you don't need it immediately you can check and see when the best month to purchase luggage. Now you know, if luggage is on your to get list it is best to wait for when the prices are right. And as we know now, January and May are the two months that luggage is on sale and you will get the right piece for your money.

Take a look for yourself and see if your shopping or wish list appears on the chart. If so, then can you and are you able to wait until the sale prices are best?
