The grand opening was unbelievably packed with people. Many stores were giving away gift cards, the Apple store was giving away Apple T-shirts; there were at least 300 Apple fanatics waiting in line outside.
There was live band playing all day long in the center of the mall near customer service. Besides that there were two more solo musicians, guitar players, violinist, flute players, in every corner making the whole experience very relaxing and entertaining. Not to mention the 30 foot large stone fireplace in the center of the outdoor family room, you can just sit there and soak all this wonderful experience in while sipping on your starbucks.
-The Partridge Creek Mall features three different fountains throughout the mall including an interactive 85-foot pop jet fountain to entertain the kids while adding beauty and tranquility to the environment.
-The center features two bocce ball courts that can be enjoyed by players of any level.
-An outdoor children's play area is available for the enjoyment of the smallest of shoppers.
-Guests can also enjoy two outdoor, flat screen Aquos LCD televisions provided by Sharp with adjacent seating to catch up on the latest news and sporting events while enjoying the fresh air.
-The center also features four Doggie Comfort Stations that provide your pet with drinking water and disposable bags.
-The Mall at Partridge Creek was able to preserve a 300 year-old Burr Oak Tree that sits near the southeast corner of the property. The tree serves as the focus of a seating area where customers can relax. In addition, there will be an educational display that the describes the tree.
-The center offers free wireless Internet (WiFi) in the mall's public spaces.
-The mall features an automatic snow-melting system for walkways that will be located within the malls' main pedestrian concourse areas.
The open-air shopping center, scheduled to debut Oct. 18, 2007, on the south side of M-59 between Garfield and Romeo Plank, will feature approximately 90 stores and restaurants. Two of its anchors, Nordstrom and Parisian, are Macomb County firsts.
The 640,000-square-foot Mall at Partridge Creek will be the first regional shopping center built in Macomb County in more than 30 years. Two of the anchors - 120,000-square-foot, two-level Parisian and a 14-screen, 58,291- square-foot MJR Theaters movie complex - will open with the shopping center on October 18, 2007. The 129,000-square-foot, two-level Nordstrom will follow in spring 2008.
Tenants new to Macomb County include: Brighton Collectibles, showcasing the premier accessory brand's complete collection, form handbags and shoes to luggage and jewelry; J. Jill clothing and accessories designed for women with sophisticated, casual lifestyles; Janie and Jack, heirloom-quality clothing for babies and toddlers; The levi's store, featuring the famous brand's deep selection of jean swear for men, women and children; Lucky Brand Jeans, one of the nation's hottest premium denim brands for men and women; lucy, figure-flattering business cases, travel accessories and casual footwear for men and women; Sunglasses Designs, a trendy, high quality sunglass specialist and a Michigan first, and Swarovski Gallery Store, filled with crystal home pieces jewelry and figurines from the world's largest crystal maker. Partridge Creek will also be the only Macomb county location for Crabtree & Evelyn bath, body and home care products and papyrus high-quality greeting cards, paper goods and gifts.
Also new to the county are four popular national footwear retailers: Clarks, famous for its best-selling, comfort-perfect shoes, ranging from clogs and sandals to rugged performance and sophisticated career styles; Rockport, premium lifestyle footwear for men and women and the first Michigan store to feature Rockport's new design; Michigan's only full-line Skechers, known for trend-right athletic and casual footwear for the entire family; and The Walking Company, bringing men and women the world's best brands of high-quality comfort shoes.
Other Macomb County firsts include three eateries: metro Detroit's first Bar Louie, a casually cool neighborhood restaurant and bar; Nestle Toll House Cafe by Chip, a sit-down spot serving Nestle's famous baked goods, ice cream treats and coffee specialties; and Marble Slab Creamery, featuring premium ice cream - mixed with the customer's choice of 37 fruits, candies, cookies, nuts and sprinkles, fresh-baked waffle cones and assorted baked goods. Max & Erma's, a popular casual restaurant, will also open at The Mall at Partridge Creek.
