I am always getting compliments on the clothes that I wear, I am very proud of my wardrobe.
I dress as good or even better than the female top executive that works as the CEO of a major corporation. Heck, I may even be wearing some clothes that she donated for a tax break.
I have to confess something I am a thrift store junkie and I love it, I just love it! I love going to a Goodwill Store or consignment shop and finding a bargain, it is so much fun! If I had a million dollars, I don't think it would keep me out of a Goodwill Store, no way!
I have found some beautiful clothes and knick knacks at the thrift store.
The idea of helping someone when I purchase an item at the Goodwill Store or CVAN Store located in Concord and Kannapolis Store makes it even better.
Goodwill is a "non profit provider of education, training and career services for people with disadvantages such as welfare dependency, homelessness and lack of education or work experience as well as those with physical, mental and emotional disabilities. Last year local Goodwill collectively provided employment and training services to more than 930,775 individuals."
Located in Concord, North Carolina is CVAN. It provides, "safety, shelter and support for battered women and their children and actively works to end domestic violence." Their store also located in Concord is charming and you would think you have just walked into a Dress Barn if you did not know any better.
Buying second hand is only for "people who enjoy digging through other people's garbage, who get excited at the thought of visiting a thrift store, can stand for a couple of hours shifting through old clothes and goods."
Remember one person's garbage is another persons treasure.
