For an ingredient to be certified organic, whether it be for food or skin care purposes, it has to be grown from soil that is pesticide free for not less than 3 yrs. Organic products are manufactured without the involvement of pesticides, herbicides, insecticides, and other potentially carcinogenic chemicals that can wreck havoc on our body when they enter our bloodstream.
These days, there are many patches available for losing weight, to quit smoking etc. All these products work on one main principle: absorption through the skin. The same rule applies to skin care products. Non-organic skin care products contain chemicals that are absorbed through the skin. These chemicals pose a potential health hazard when they enter our blood stream by absorption through the skin.
This is where organic skin care products give us the benefit of doubt. Organic skin care products don not have the chemicals that are present in regular skin care products. They contain all natural ingredients, work effectively, and are a lot safer since they do not have many harmful chemicals.
The ingredients present in organic skin care products must be certified by the organic food care industry. Each country has its own authoritarian outfit that regulates the certification of ingredients as safe for inclusion in organic products. As a rule of thumb, products that claim to be organic must have all organic ingredients. Some so called organic products might contain five percent of non-organic material. Make sure you completely research an organic product before investing in it. Confirm that is 100% organic before buying it.
Non-organic cosmetics contain significant amount of dyes and chemicals that are extremely dangerous to the body. Some of these are also carcinogenic. Granted, some of them work. However, it comes at a price, which is an increased risk of something going wrong along the way. Organic products accomplish the same purpose, however, without the risk posed by the non-organic chemicals.
These days, a wide array of organic cosmetics is found on the market. Some of them include products that exfoliate the skin, nourish and hydrate it, leave it looking clean and fresh. Therefore it is virtually guaranteed that an organic alternative is available for any regular and non-organic skin care product.
