Shopping Secrets: How to Get the Best Deals

Save Extra Money for Christmastime

Everyone loves a great deal . It catches the eye, and here are some tips that I have accumulated through the years to get a great deal and save some bucks.

Internet Shopping- Promotion codes are all over the Internet from free cell phone minutes to 50% off online purchases. If you are a big fan of shopping online then search for promo codes for your favorite stores , I think you will be pleasantly surprised at what you will find.

Ebay- there are a few auction sites, but Ebay is the best by far, and not only do they sale used items, but new as well. Its fun to search and shop around on the site because of all the items that are listed on there. It makes me wish I had saved all of my childhood toys.

Non- designer clothing and accessories- If you don't mind buying a product that looks the same, but is not a brand name you can save up to hundreds of dollars, and most people will not even recognize the difference. I personally love shopping this way I can look like I have the latest fashions at a fraction of the cost.

Wholesale and Bulk purchasing- There are a lot of wholesale and bulk buying that can be found on the Internet. They will usually offer free shipping and most of the time when purchasing this way you will save tons of money. Lets face it with gas prices as high as they are anywhere that offers free shipping is a great deal.

In store shopping- Display models I always ask about the display models. The only catch with this is they have to be sold out of the product before they will allow you to purchase the item on display. This brings great deals usually about 20 to 50 % off the retail price. My friend bought her computer this way and I purchased my kids swing set this way as well.

Returned Items/ Damaged boxes- If an item has been returned or a box is damaged the items are rarely placed back on the shelves. So ask the associates if there has been any returned items or items that have damaged boxes. They always offer a discount on these items and you can save quite a bit of money.

Misprinted Items- Now some stores offer this, but not all of them. Ask a sales associate the policy on misplaced items. Most stores will give you the item for free if misprinted or they will give you a discount for the inconvenience.

Clearance Racks- I always hit the clearance racks. If there is nothing for myself I buy for others and save it for birthdays and Holidays. You can also yard sale these items or Ebay them and make yourself some money. I love clearance clothes it makes you feel so good to buy them, and save that money.

Rebates- This can be a great way to purchase products for free or close to it. I know we all get the rebate fliers. If you have the money to invest this can be a great way to save money, and get products for free. Purchase your limit for the rebates, it will say 6 item limit etc. Then you will have the items and then 6-8 weeks later your money will come back to you, and there you go free items. This is a great idea if you think about it. You will eventually need the products and you have gotten them for free or close to it.
