Last week, I purchased a container of ShopRite Whipped Topping for the first time and I'm very glad that I did so. On a regular basis, I eat lots of ice cream, pudding and other desserts and often like to add whipped topping to the various desserts I consume.
Prior to purchasing the ShopRite Whipped Topping, I was regularly purchasing various brands of non dairy whipped toppings and sometimes I purchase aerosol cans of real whipped cream.
This non dairy whipped topping seems like a good item to review, so presented here, is one food writer's product review of ShopRite Whipped Topping.
Size
The net weight of the container of Shop Rite Whipped Topping being reviewed here is eight ounces. The container holds 25 two tablespoon servings of whipped topping. Every time I eat this product however, I find it hard to limit myself to just two tablespoons, because of its great taste and pleasing consistency.
Price
The regular retail price charged for one eight ounce container of Shop Rite Whipped Topping at Hartford, Connecticut area ShopRite supermarkets is approximately $1.29. This price seems very reasonable to me. Similar, name brand products usually retail for considerably more than this price.
Consistency / Texture
This whipped topping features a light and airy consistency that makes it an excellent accompaniment to virtually any type of dessert. Although the consistency of this whipped topping is not identical to that of real whipped cream, it is pretty close.
Nutritional Facts
ShopRite Whipped Topping contains 25 calories, with 15 calories from fat, per two tablespoon serving. This whipped topping also contains 2 grams of saturated fat, 2 grams total fat, 0 mg of cholesterol, 0 mg of sodium, 2 grams total carbohydrates, 0 grams of dietary fiber, 1 gram of sugars and 0 grams of protein, per two tablespoon serving.
Taste / Flavor
This tasty whipped topping offers a clean, light and almost comforting flavor. The flavor is similar to that of a name brand whipped topping that starts with the letters C and W, but to me, the name brand topping tastes a little bit sweeter than the ShopRite Whipped Topping.
Since I purchased this topping last week, I have eaten it with pudding, ice cream and cake and it has accented each item very well. This topping tastes so good, I even like to eat it plain, straight from the container. On a flavor scale of one through ten, I would assign this product a rating of nine.
Packaging
ShopRite Whipped Topping is packaged in a white, red and black plastic tub like container. The container opens easily and re-closes effectively and the rear label lists all pertinent ingredient and nutritional information.
Overall Rating
If you're a fan of whipped topping and would like to save some money when you purchase the item, look no further than ShopRite Whipped Topping. This item tastes just as good as, if not better than, similar name brand whipped toppings and its regular retail price is significantly less expensive than the name brands' prices. Available at ShopRite supermarkets in the northeast United States, ShopRite Whipped Topping is a recommended item by this food writer.
