Randy Jones
1 Chronicles: The book of 1 Chronicles was possibly authored by Ezra, as well the book of 1 Chronicles is more of a chronological diary recording genealogies, as well as the ascension of David to king. 1 Chronicles has three main sections which the first being a selective list of genealogies the other two are walks through Davids life as king and his actions afterward, and finishes with Solomon the son of David becoming the next King of Israel. The book of 1 Chronicles as well as 1 and 2 Samuel and 1 and 2 Kings all show patterns of sin and forgiveness of the nation of Israel. The first book of Chronicles was written after the exile to show the returning children of Israel how they were to worship God and much of its history was around the Southern Kingdom, specifically with the tribes of Judah.
