Should America Develop a Third Political Party?

Should America Develop a Third Political Party?

I should like to preface this article by saying that I'm not speaking as a republican or democrat, I'm speaking as a Christian American. I'm conservative and believe that God must be a part of Americas future. I will also tell you that I wasn't very happy with a lot of things the previous administration did. I've been especially upset over the behavior of our elected representatives. The words I would use to describe most of them are dishonest and greedy. I feel that a number of the incumbents need to be replaced because they've been there so long, they've forgotten what their role is in government.

That being said I would like to bring to your attention something that I feel is going to come up before the 2010 and 2012 elections. I'm speaking about the question of whether or not America should have a strong third party? At a different time in history, a third party may be a very good idea. At this time if a third party was to materialize in 2010 and 2012 it would most probably split the vote and the people we want to remove from congress may very well be reelected. The proper time, in my opinion, would be when we've rid ourselves of those who want to bring our way of life down.

This means that when these elections happen, if you are a conservative, or some one who is against this administrations ideology, you will have to vote republican. To this you may say that you would be voting for the lesser of the two evils and you'd be right. If you challenge my suggestion, I suggest you think about what a split vote may mean to America. Historically, President Clinton was elected because Ross Perot split the vote and gave Clinton an advantage. If the vote were to be split again Obama and his people may be reelected.

President Obama's ideology just doesn't work with a government for the people and by the people. What must be realized is that there is so much more at stake than the health care bill, immigration, or taxes. This president and his administration appear to want to grow government as large as possible. He's striving to take over much of what has always been a free society with the right to make choices for itself. If left to his agenda, he will change our way of life, our right to make decisions for ourselves, the future of our children and grand children, and all those things that have made America great. Our leadership in the world is crucial to many nations and our present administration doesn't seem to know what to do. If we can't retain the powerful position we've had, countries like Iran may very well step over the line and destroy everything. They now have nuclear capabilities and may use them unless a strong American presence controls things.

As a nation we must renew our commitment to God, that's the way our forefathers set it up and that's what we must revert back too. They were granted insights into how a democracy should be governed, they followed Gods' promptings and were successful. Over the years we have allowed our representatives to change things and now we can see the fruits of their labor. Our constitution has been amended and corrupted, we're no longer on the gold standard, the system of checks and balances, that they set up, no longer functions and the supreme court is now making laws instead of just enforcing them. These and other changes have led us to the point that we're at now. History has taught us that introducing to much currency into our economic system may cause an inflationary period, the fruits of which may be a depression. I wasn't around during the depression but my folks were and believe me you and I don't want to experience one.

It's evident to me that those in power don't want America to return to our productive and spiritual way of life. They have out sourced much of our industry, oil production, agricultural production and anything else that could be done to make us dependant on someone else. This progressive movement, what they call it, started 40 years ago and has patiently moved ahead to bring us to where we are today. Prayer in school is out, we must not exhibit the Ten Commandments, Merry Christmas is no longer appropriate and they want to remove In God We Trust from our currency. If you will take the time to dig into these issues you'll understand what I understand, we're in trouble.
