Getting your ex back can be a big challenge. The rougher the breakup was, the more work it's going to be to get your ex back. Whatever the reason the two of you broke up, getting back together starts with a phone call.

A lot of people can't decide on weather they should call their ex or not. Well if you're interested in getting your ex back, you need to call them. You also need to do i right. Have a game plan in place. Here are some tips on how to make that first phone call a powerful tool to win your ex back.

Make Sure Your Ex Has Calmed Down

Do not call your ex while either of you are highly emotional from the breakup. Wait until the dust settles. Give you and your ex time to calm down and get over that anger hump. If you don't wait until the dust settles, the results will be the opposite of what you want. If you're upset, you'll have trouble keeping your thoughts straight. If your ex is upset, he or she will be less likely to listen to a word you say. Situations like this require a "cool down" period. It's important to be patient and wait. Rushing it and calling your ex when they and/or you are still mad will just increase the chances of you being shut out with no chance of reconciliation.

Be Prepared

Don't just call and assume that the right words will just come out on the fly. Prepare for the phone call. Make some notes and underline the things you want to say. If you were once romantically involved with this person, you likely know them pretty well. Well enough to know what they are going to throw in your face and all the messed up things you did in the relationship. Well write down and prepare a rebuttal for all of those things. Make sure you have some good answers for the the things he or she might ask you.

Have a Positive Attitude.

In order for a sales person to be successful, they have to have confidence. They have to have a positive attitude to make a sale. If you want to make your way back into your ex's life, you need to speak with confidence and have a positive demeanor. Don't try to make your ex feel sorry for you by crying, or being depressed. This will only make you look pathetic and will likely turn your ex away.

Be Patient

Don't expect to get your ex back after a 30 to 60 minute phone call. The process of rebuilding passion and trust in a relationship takes time. This first call is very important. It reestablishes communication and determines which direction you will take with your ex. Don't assume that everything is fixed if the phone call goes well. You must stay one step ahead of your ex and continue to impress your ex with your words and actions. Good luck to you.

Two words.... heck no! LOL It depends upon the situation. I have no desire to talk to any of my ex mistakes. I only talk to one because we have two kids.
