Should Employee (Instant) Text Messaging Be Allowed in the Work Place?

Phillip W. Chambley
Text messaging employees are using up too much company time and also distracting other employees that are honestly trying to do their job! There is nothing more irritating in the work-place than a 'habitual" text message offender, especially if you are trying to talk business with this employee(s) and also trying to make a daily living with your job.

It's "okay!" if they are contacting their family members, (in privacy), just to let them know "you are doing fine" and vice-versa. Especially if there are school children involved in this situation. Instant text messaging was originally designed for a certain purpose? The word INSTANT should always be remembered for all employees in any work place.

Some modern day employees and employers use text messaging as a way of their day business transactions. Simply, because they are "on the go" at all times during a busy business day schedule, and just don't have the time to talk too clients regarding their present time and just don't have the time for a long or even a short conversation regarding their fast daily movement.

This particular money making situation is "Great for any employee!" However? Do these people seem to "go overboard with text messaging at times?" Hour after hour, day after day, some particular employees never seem to stop? Even some employers simply state? How do I know if you are honestly contacting your money making clients? Hour after Hour? Day after Day?

Or if this is nothing but B.S.? Constantly text messaging your friends and family members about what happened the night before in your life? This modern day problem seems to go on forever for employers? In other words? How we can we possibly monitor these cell phone text messages everyday?

"One good advantage of client or customer text messaging is the fact that they always have this information on record!" If needed too. Any employer always has the right to examine these particular company paid for files of "so-called" cell phone text messaging, which will stand up in any court, especially if this employee is terminated for this particular reason.

Restaurant servers at this present time in history, seem to have the biggest problem with this text messaging situation. Meaning that they are constantly texting their friends and family members because they only get paid $2.13 per hour regarding any restaurant here here the USA. They have ironically been reported texting in front of customers.

Even vehicle road drivers are also creating an enormous deadly problem with this text messaging cell phone situation. Using their hands instead of driving their motorized vehicle? Litigation courts have recently stated that they are using their hands talking on any cell phone was bad enough, and now they are punching out numbers and symbols while driving 85 mph down the expressway!
