Should Fast Food Restaurants Have to Wear Gloves While Preparing Your Food?

I Think They So

For many eating out is the best part of the day while at work. For one eating out gets you out of the office away from work and away from nosy co-workers that you may dislike. This also allows you to handle your business that you have to handle during work hours that can't wait until after work. But do you pay attention to how your food is being made? Do you look to see if your surroundings are clean and if the people making your food are wearing gloves? Or do you just go to the place to grab something fast to eat because it is faster than going to a restaurant although never noticed if your surroundings were clean and if the employees were wearing gloves while handling your food? If you have noticed and ate at the fast food restaurant have you asked your self "should these employees's be wearing gloves while preparing my food?"

Some fast food restaurants that do not wear gloves while preparing your food are first Burger king. Burger King is a great place to eat it is fast and cheap but unless things have changed or are different in different states the Burger King employee's do not wear gloves while handling your food. Sometimes also the employee's of Burger king do not keep the inside of Burger king as clean as they should. But if you go through the drive though all of the time you may not know this because you just see the paying window cashier and you see he or she hand you the food after you give them cash.

Although Burger King does not wear gloves their competition Mc Donald's does. Mc Donald's has the same type of deals as Burger king, great tasting food and is clean. They also always wear gloves unless they are the cashier. There has never been a day when I have seen Mc Donald employee's with out gloves.

Another fast food restaurant that does not wear gloves while preparing your food is Taco bell. Taco bell is one of the only fast food restaurants where you can get tacos along with many other Mexican meals. This restaurant has great deals. But a down fall they do not wear gloves. It all depends on the location also whether it is clean or not. There are some Taco Bells that are very clean and you can see the employee's wash their hands after re entering the building. At other Taco Bell's it is a tough call on weather they wash their hands after re entering the vicinity because you can not see them and some taco bells also lack in cleanliness although the food still taste good.

This brings me to the question should Fast food restaurants have to wear gloves while making our food? I believe that they should have to wear gloves for the simple fact of even if they wash their hands the employee's may have a cut on their finger that could open, or the band aide could fall off and contaminate the food or the employee's could have just sneezed and not noticing while off their faces with their hands then touch the food.

I believe that with all fast food restaurants cleanliness should be a huge factor. I believe they should always no matter what unless they are a cashier have to wash their hands and also wear gloves. There has been restaurants such as Burger King that I have stopped eating at because when ordering food I looked around noticing the restaurants was not clean and the people who were preparing my food did not have gloves on and it wasn't like I could ask them to wash their hands for me so I walked out because I like to know my food is not being contaminated by someone.

I disagree with whoever wrote this article. My daughter and I just came from a McDonalds where they did NOT wear gloves when preparing our food. They ALSO got an attitude with me when I asked them to please put gloves on. We ended up asking for a refund and just left. I will NEVER eat at a McDonalds again!

I completely agree. This is something that I have a serious issue with. I feel that anyone who prepares food for the public should follow all basic sanitation rules and wear gloves. Thanks for sharing. This is a great article!
