First, I want everyone to know that in no way, shape or form am I a Democrat. I believe in being my own person, regardless of a political affiliation. I do not consider myself affiliated with any party, because I believe that is where this country went wrong. There is too many do's and don'ts in a political party affiliation, and honestly I believe they are all corrupted.
Now, in to the question at hand: Should Hillary Clinton continue to run for the presidency? I say YES!
Ok, Why did I just say yes? Well, two reasons: First, I would like to see what Hillary has to offer this country. I believe men have been in control long enough, and would like to see what a woman can do. She has a lot of experience (yes, being the first lady counts despite what anyone else thinks!) She has been a good senator for New York since 2000. She is the best candidate for the hard working middle class American family, and a strong woman with character.
Second, I would like to see Hillary win the Presidency because I know she is the only one that supports the pullout of American troops. She is in this race heart and soul and it shows! She will not compromise with terrorists, and she will not run this country half way!
Third, I have seen certain feminists here on AC give her a bad rap, saying that Hillary is basing her experience off her husband's presidency. I don't know where they get the notion that Hillary didn't work while her husband was traipsing off in the White house with God knows who...We all heard the joke "Behind every good president is Hillary Clinton running things" and I believe now that Hillary is running for the job, this is no longer a joke. She has sponsored more bills than any other candidate in this race, and although most did not make it into law, she whole heartedly believed that they would make a difference.
Lastly, UNIVERSAL HEALTH CARE! Hillary has been trying to cure the health care ills of this country since she was first lady. Some government officials want to use scare tactics and rhetoric to us common folk telling us that "Universal health care is a ploy to strip more of your rights away!" I have heard this bull far too long! Do you know that we are the only superpower country NOT TO HAVE UNIVERSAL HEALTH CARE? If universal health care is so bad, then why are people trekking to Canada to buy prescriptions cheaper? Why has there been an influx of about 10,000 U.S. citizens in 2006 to LIVE in Canada?
I have attached a link at the end of the article as to what countries have universal health care and which do not.
How much do you spend a year in health care? Why not let Hillary let us get things started?
You can download her plan in the link below. You be the judge...

Post a CommentStacy, I absolutely agree with your second point--I don't believe that Hillary was riding her husband's coattails at all. She's worked hard and deserves to be where she is. First in her class at Yale Law School (Bill was second!), one of the most influential lawyers under 30, successful private practice, and profoundly influential as a first lady. She's not just a First Lady. When Bill campaigned in 92, he made a point that his wife would have a very important role in his presidency. And she was the first First Lady ever to have an office in the West Wing. Hillary has earned every bit of success that she's had. And you can see in the debates where she consistently outperforms her opponent in her knowledge of foreign and domestic policies.
I couldn't agree with you more Stacy!!! wtg girl :) It's way beyond time for a woman President first of all and also, she is DEFINITELY the most qualified out of the three. It's so sad that the media has given Obama such a pass all these months because I seriously doubt he will know HOW to be president.
Wow. I had to check the date on this article to see if it were really published only recently. You haven't yet seen what Hillary has to offer? She's been running now for well over a year. And the fact is, she cannot win. The Democratic Party cannot and will not hand the nomination to the runner-up in pledged delegates. I'm all for Universal Healthcare (which, by the way, is also being offered by the presumptive Democratic nomineee Barack Obama). And I think Hillary Clinton would have made a fine President, despite the despicable way in which she ran her campaign. But the primary is, in fact, over and it has been for some time. The math is what it is. It's time to move on and to support the candidate - Obama or McCain - whose views on policy most resemble your own. If you supported Hillary or are tired of the Bush Administration, your choice is clear. Visit BarackObama.com.
I hope she doesn't become president. I'd like to see a woman in office, but not her. I think she would do a crappy job, which would only make it harder for other women to become president. Maybe someone like Condoleeza Rice should run. I'd vote for her.
If she really wants to see a Democratic president, she should stop campaigning and throw her support to Obama. The more Obama and Clinton have to duke it out, the less time they spend against the REAL threat for the presidency, the Bush clone, McCain. And no one wants to deal with THAT for another 4 years or more. If Clinton was ahead now I'd say the same thing for Obama. Its gone on too long, and its just fueling the Republicans.
Obama has a lot of states. Hillary has the few with the most electoral votes. And in almost all of Obama's states, he only won by a small margin. Because of this, I think Hillary could win against McCain. Yes, she should stay in it.
You gave your opinion........I respect that. My opinion is........you are wrong.
