Should LaDainian Tomlinson Be Traded to the Indianapolis Colts?

NFL Sports Blurbs:

To think that LaDainian Tomlinson may not be the face of the San Diego Chargers franchise in 2010 may not be as far-fetched as one would believe. LaDainian Tomlinson is at the end of his contract, and the San Diego organization may not bring back this once dominant running back in 2010. LaDainian Tomlinson did not have a spectacular season, but he did manage to rush for 730 yards, plus 12 touchdowns, and had only 154 receiving yards, which was an all time low in his receiving average. It is a proven fact that the LT of old is not the LT of today, indeed his NFL career is winding down, and he is running out of time to get a Super Bowl ring.

Would the Indianapolis Colts be a fitting choice for him to be traded to, a choice that may be worth considering, and what other way would it be for him to play in the same division. The question may be - do the Colts have room for another running back in the 2010 season. More importantly, would they make room for LT? Of course if the San Diego Chargers would release LT, there would be many teams that would love to have him on their roster, even though he is approaching the end of his career.

LaDainian Tomlinson does have enough in his tank to become a vital part of the Indianapolis Colts organization, and their offensive running attack. In fact, the new wave of acquiring veteran running backs from other teams has changed throughout the years; most teams now make it mandatory to have at least three running backs on their active roster. The intriguing aspect of seeing LaDainian Tomlinson in a Colts uniform may bring new life to his NFL career, and may ease the pain of failing to win a chance for a Super Bowl championship in 2010.

LT is quite aware that his playing time in San Diego may be coming to an end, and the off-season may be a time for this great back to decide on his options and how many teams will bargain for him to play for their team in 2010. The 2010 off-season may be a time for the Colts organization to decide if LT can fit into the scheme of their 2010 plan. If and when LT does become a free agent; it may be a wise choice for the Indianapolis Colts to pick-up LT in the off-season which will add to their 2010 potential playoff stock.

Despite LaDainian Tomlinson rushing for only 730 yards he did manage to score 12 touchdowns in a disappointing loss to the New York Jets in the Divisional playoff.
