Should People Be Allowed to Carry Guns into Bars

You read right. Here in Tennessee the government is trying to pass a bill that will allow anyone with a permit to carry a gun to take it into bars. Well, they can carry it in but they cannot drink. What a pathetic laugh. What do people go to bars for, to play darts? Hey, that can even be dangerous when someone is drunk.

While they are at it why do they not just go ahead and pass a bill so that a five year old can carry a gun?

This is about one of the most ridiculous things I believe I have ever heard. What are these people in the government thinking (apparently they are not)?

I believe in the right to carry guns just not into an establishment where alcohol is served. What is the real reason behind this anyway? I guess they are thinking that not enough people are getting shot by those who are sober, so now they are going to let the drinking people have a "shot" at someone.

Another thing is, if they are going to do this kind of thing, why not just go ahead and let them drive drunk also?!

Think about it, you go into a bar, you are drinking with friends, and all of a sudden you are dead from being shot by a drunk with a gun. Is that what these people are wanting? Apparently it is.

The right to carry a gun is one freedom we as Americans have, the right to take a gun into a bar is a stupid idea.

Why do they not just go ahead and go to extremes and let people take guns into banks, schools, hospitals, churches, or anywhere else they want. Hey, let them start carrying them to work! Would you want someone working with you if you knew they were toting a gun? More like would you want to be sitting in a pew in a church beside of someone with a gun?

My opinion is probably worth about as much as that of a three year old child, but in this situation I am giving it anyway.

All I want to say to the government here is...get a clue people. Put your brains back in your heads and think this through again. Passing this law is just all but pulling the triggers yourselves. The first time someone gets killed at a bar by a gun slinging drunk, who is going to be responsible? Is the government going to take the blame? Ha, yeah right!

Like I said, this is only my opinion, so take it with a "grain of salt". But I had to voice it anyway.
