Should Randy and Paula White Take a Break from Their Ministries?
Randy and Paula White Announce Their Divorce, Should They Continue in Ministry?
Since Randy and Paula White have announced that they are planning on seeking a divorce, the question should now be, "Should Paula and Randy White take a break from their ministries?"
I believe the answer is unequivocally yes. Maybe the problem is that Randy and Paula White catapulted to success too quickly. Maybe they were so caught up in the vision that they lost sight of their first love, Jesus Christ. Maybe there were illicit affairs, and every unspeakable work of darkness involved, maybe not. We know there is plenty of indication that things weren't right, and that they haven't been right for a long time. We know that they have announced their divorce, and that from the appearance of things, it may well be very Biblical. However, does this mean that they should be ministering to the body of Christ while they go through this?
The answer is no. The Bible states that you cannot minister if your own house is not in order. Not only are Paula and Randy White's house not in order, it hasn't been for a long time.
Does this mean they are of no use to the kingdom of God? No. What it does mean is that they need time to regroup. Maybe, if they had taken that time to regroup when the first sign that something was going wrong occurred, they wouldn't be getting divorced.
The reasons for their divorce are obviously being kept private. Their distance between each other isn't. It has been no secret that there was a rift between them, yet they continued ministering full force for many years.
I hope that all ministers will use this as an example. Learn from the divorce between Randy and Paula White. No matter how big your ministry is growing, no matter how many lives you see being transformed, if your house is not in order, you need to stop. There are associate pastors, use them! You have power to delegate, delegate it.
Take a retreat, pray, fast, repent before God and renew your first love. If you don't, before you know it, your conscience will grow dim and your heart will turn cold. Don't let this happen.
There is no temptation that is uncommon to man. There is nothing that you can go through that Jesus Christ has not already endured. Sin is like yeast, it grows and it spreads, beginning very small. No ministry can endure the temptations of this world without prayer, fasting, and extreme devotion to Christ.
Is the divorce justified? Probably. Is it founded on Biblical grounds? More than likely, it is. My personal gut says, it is. Could it have been avoided? Undoubtedly, yes.
Ministers must realize that they are infallible. They must understand that the more they allow sin to enter their lives, the greater the explosion will be when it is full grown. No matter how large your ministry is, you should always be humble enough to say, "Wait, stop, I am human. I am hurting. I am losing my way. I need you, Jesus. I am preaching to thousands and can't talk kindly to my spouse. Have your way in me, Lord. Change me. I will step down, until You have completed this work in me."
Only then, will we have leaders who practice the integrity that we need to see exhibited in the body of Christ.

We all have a social responsibility as public figures to lead by example, however if the reasons for divorce are non other than selfish ambitions, as opposed to only those explained as worthy a divorce in the scriptures, then it is in the best interest of the public, supposing one party entered marriage for the wrong reasons, then repent of the wrong motives and remain in the marriage. May God help the church in such times as this
Having been through a divorce myself & very involved in ministry as well. Nothing about it is easy. People look at you differently. Some even stop talking to you. Some of our stuff was like an open book but not all. You tell your spiritual leaders & certain family members because they are closest to you. You get their guidance. You spend time in prayer & fasting for God's direction about everything that you know your life touches. Trusting & hoping that others will be praying for God's WILL in your life & not spend all their time trying to figure out what you did wrong or whether you should stop ministering. Here's what I became keenly aware of during this whole process...Father God...was there with me stronger than I had ever experienced him prior to our divorce. WE both had choices to make & no one could make them for us. Don't you worry, God sees all & knows all. And, if you ask him, he'll guide your prayer concerning the White family, whether together or apart.

I HAVE ENJOYED PAULA WHITE ON TBN. IT IS A HUGE QUESTION AS HOW GOD CAN SOLVE ALL OUR PROBLEMS AND HE WAS NOT ABLE TO HELP THEM
CONTINUE IN MINISTRY TOGETHER AND AVOID A DIVORCE. THIS SUBJECT HAS BEEN KEPT VERY QUIET HOWEVER IF ONE WERE TO SAY THIS DIVORCE IS SCRIPTURAL THEN IT INDICATES ADULTERY WAS INVOLVED. HOW CAN ANYONE MININSTER TO OTHERS IF SUCH IS THE CASE.
I AN TELLING MYSELF THAT PAULA IS THE INNOCENT PARTY, SHE WILL CONTIN UE TO MINISTER HOWEVER ISN'T IT DUE THEIR FOLLOWING TO REVEAL WHY THE LORD COULD NOT SAVE T HIS MARRIAGE? HOW PAULA CAN CONTINUE TO MINISTER, AND NOT EVER SLOW DOWN, IF SHE WAS A GUILTY PARTY?????? GOD CAN AND DOES FORGIVE HOWEVER I HAVE NOT HEARD REPENTENCE OR EVEN A HINT OF REPENTENCE AND WHY THEY SHOULD REPENT.
Good question, SLK.
Because if you believe in the Anointing and the Laying on Of hands, one has to ask themselves if Paula White will transfer the "get divorced when your ministries go in two directions anointings."
Although, I am not sure if Paula White does prayer lines- or Joyce Meyer for that matter-
Randy and Paula White are already divorced. They won't disclose the location where they filed, but they have told the media her in Tampa that it is final.
I'm a christian and have been tempted many times on getting a divorce, but I work on it. I know that it is not what God would be happy about. I trust God that he will help with everything and that's what happends. God has also thought me that money is not the most important thing, God should be first and then everything else will come. It seems that many ministries today are making money their God and only use Gods Name to become rich and that's why they go into distruction later. What happened with trusting God? I almost forget too much $$$$$.
Oh, and by the way, we don't need an exercise program from Paula. What a joke! Who is she showcasing anyway, herself or Jesus? At this time, I am having great difficulty supporting ANY television network or ministry. I hope the Christian networks are re-evaluating their programming, and purifying things. I just feel like withdrawing from Christendom, not from God, but Christendom, until they get REAL.
