Should There Be Three More Spiderman Movies?
I'm pretty conflicted myself. The Spiderman movies have been very good so far and I'm all for more good movies but there are a couple of reasons I think six Spiderman movies might be a bad idea.
Neither Tobey Maguire nor Kirsten Dunst have been signed to more than three Spiderman movies. Kirsten Dunst is no big deal. Peter Parker has had more than one love interests in the past so they can bring in somebody new. But Tobey Maguire has been Spiderman and Peter Parker for the first three movies. You can not replace Tobey Maguire. So does Tobey Maguire want to do three more movies? I sure haven't heard him say he wants to do three more movies and I'm pretty sure we would've heard if he had signed a contract for three more Spiderman movies.
I also feel they've blown their wad with the Spiderman villains. Don't get me wrong, Spiderman has a lot of villains and some of them I think are very cool like Kraven the Hunter, Electro and Mysterio. But in the first three movies they've already used up Spiderman's three biggest, most popular and most well known villains in Green Goblin, Doctor Octopus and Venom. From the aspect of just cool factor they've already used up the three characters that will look the coolest using CGI in Doctor Octopus, Venom and Sandman. Making three more Spiderman movies with the remaining villains seems like a step down both in importance and in special effects.
Any time a series of movies goes on for along time it always gets worse. I have to admit Spiderman 2 was actually really good, better than the first. It's one of the few sequels that is an exception to that "the sequel is never as good as the original" rule. But do we really think they can keep it up not only for Spiderman 3 but three more movies after that? Have we forgotten how bad the Superman and Batman movies ended up?
If there really are three more Spiderman movies after Spiderman 3 I'm sure I'll be there in the theater watching with the rest of you and hoping that they're all great. I hope they prove me wrong but I find it hard to believe that the Spiderman movies will still be good by the time they get through six movies.

I think 3 more movies would be cool but like you said if toby dont sign dont do the 3 more. And theres lots of badguys they could use and mabey a team up hulk or ironman meets spiderman lol that would rock!

I think 3 is also enough. Seems like the further they go, they worse they get. Rocky being a great example. Rocky 6, sucks
I think 3 is definitely enough, but personally, I am so tired of all the comic book/superhero movies! It is out of control. So many current films are geared towards the young male demographic that somehow are considered #1 filmgoers (like a strange rumor that won't quit!) And then when there is a female-driven film, it's all gooey and cheesy. What happened to movies just about people, equally?
Eesh... I can't see three more Spiderman movies... they're going to run out of steam. I haven't seen the third one yet, but I just can't envision being blown away by 6 Spiderman movies. Especially if they don't get Tobey to play in the next three... that would just be weird to see somebody new.
