Are you the proud owner of an SUV (Sports Utility Vehicle)? You may be asking yourself this question since gas prices are on the rise nationwide. However, you must realize that even though gas is on the rise today, it actually may go down tomorrow. You also have to ask yourself if an SUV is your dream car. Many people that own SUV's own them because of the large size and the comfort. If you feel that your SUV suits you and your family, then you may want to hold onto it for the next few years.

Every year it seems to be something new. First its high gas prices and then tomorrow we may see a certain stock drop that will cost us a fortune to buy another product. Different things change year to year and you have to realize that you may have to spend a little bit more on gas this year, but it may be worth it in the long run if you really feel comfortable in your SUV and if it drives you to want to take the family out at times.

If you want to get rid of your SUV because of environmental issues, then please don't bother. Until we get a nationwide effort to stop selling any car that uses gasoline, then it's no use. You cannot clean the air by getting rid of your SUV. It would have to take a joint effort of every person on the face of the planet to stop the pollution and global warming. Don't forget that jet fuel, factory pollution is far worse of the causes of global warming and air pollution than your SUV is. It may be hard for you to realize right now, but you have to allow your SUV to work for you. You have to just tell yourself that your car of something that you really enjoy driving. In a sense, it makes up who you are. You shouldn't switch to a smaller car just because you want to improve the quality of the air that you breathe or stop global warming. If you want to do something about air pollution or global warming, then you should join an activist group that helps improve pollution and stops the spread of global warming.

SUV's are great for families of four. They are comfortable to get around in and they can take you just about anywhere. Most of them are also equip with 4 wheel drive. If you live in a state that has a lot of snow, an SUV will definitely provide you with the comfort that you need during a snow storm. You must feel comfortable with your SUV if you plan to keep it. Cars are not that much cheaper than SUV's with today's gas prices. Ask yourself why you want to keep it or get rid of it. Once you decide on whether or not an SUV is for you, then you can decide on whether or not or how long it should be in your possession. Remember that you are in full control of your own destiny when it comes to owning an SUV. The longer that you have an SUV the more you will see that the size and the comfort are all too much to give up.
