Words of wisdom will outlast
Permanent ink on a page.
The good words heard,
Seemingly enclosed,
Dwelling in your spirit,
Will issue their echoes
When due,
On needful and dreaded days.
Permanent ink on a page.
The good words heard,
Seemingly enclosed,
Dwelling in your spirit,
Will issue their echoes
When due,
On needful and dreaded days.
The thoughts become you,
And stay about
The cling is like a shadow.
Hollow thoughts knock
To gear you into think
And dread.
The toll of days
Cluster into years,
Like writings on a page.
The urges to almost rage,
Turn into quiet whispers,
The calming down of spew,
Learn to rest the tenseness,
The shouts
That are of no use.
Will all the right answers
Come into play?
Not before they are due.

Post a CommentYour poem contains many words of wisdom!
Soft words turn away wrath, but once they are posted, we can not eat them. Good point here friend.
Wow! This is exceptional! Thanks much for sharing - rcj
Easier for the powers that be to burn books than fry a mind. Good observations
This is great, LarrWayne....I love the line, "the cling is like a shadow."
Outstanding again...:0)
This one is extremely well crafted! I loved it . Volumes of depth and understanding in the guise of a brief poem.
words of wisdom, received much wisdom from my grandmom
I love the line, "Words of wisdom will outlast
Permanent ink on a page." My parents are 90 - lots of wisdom to share. I phoned my mom the other day and she sounded tired so early in the morning. I asked what was wrong and she replied, "When you are 90 years old, you wake up tired!" Then she added, "I know you'll remember that when you are 90!" LOL cheers :)
