Show Your Associated Content Pride with an AC Costume

DIY Ideas for Halloween, or Join AC Parties

Leveling Truth
Halloween is just around the corner, so here's a cute and simple trick-or-treat costume idea with Associated Content in mind!

The whole family can have fun and showcase their involvement and support of citizen journalism!

Don't worry if people have to ask what your costume is, because that gives you the perfect opportunity to tell them all about AC!

Associated Content Infant Costume

You will need: a white onesie, one plastic color lid of your choice, a number cutout, and fabric glue or a hot glue gun.

First consult Associated Content's clout rating scale to determine how much clout you want your little costumes to represent. For infants and small children, different colored dots are appropriate.

Glue a number to the plastic colored lid. I used the top to a green Play-doh container, because that was what I had handy. Next, glue the lid to the center of the onesie.

Your newest little content producer will look absolutely adorable!

Associated Content Toddler or Small Child Costume

You will need: a white t-shirt, a number cut-out, one round colored jar gripper or one plastic color lid of your choice, and fabric glue or a hot glue gun.

You make the toddler or child costume similarly to the infant costume. Since I was outfitting two children, I tried to make the dots more proportional to the children's sizes. I used a round colored jar gripper for the toddler costume because it was larger than the Playdoh lid. I then glued the number cutout to the jar gripper and then to the T-shirt.

Associated Content Adult Costume

You will need: a white shirt, a number cut-out if desired, a round flat colored object proportional to your body size, a yellow plastic Hawaiian lei, and fabric glue or a hot glue gun.

To make the adult costume, I used a round flat pillow, which I borrowed from my toddler. Since the pillow has a blue power ranger on it (and I mean nothing can happen to the blue power ranger), I temporarily attached a blue painted fabric circle to cover the blue power ranger.

First, I glued the underside of the yellow lei to the shirt. Then, I attached the pillow with a few secure stitches. Lastly, I glued the rest of the lei around the front of the pillow.

Be sure you include accessories! Bright colored sunglasses and star-shaped sunglasses are perfect, particularly if you can find some orange ones.

If you want your little ones to have a ring around them too, add on a circular inflatable float. Ideally, try to find a yellow one. Yet, if shocking pink is all you've got on hand, small children won't mind.

And, if you're one of those CPs out there whose rings are currently spinning circles around some of the rest of us, bring along a hula-hoop! Your interactive costume can be a fun addition to any party!

By the way, don't forget to dress your dog up if you have one. I didn't mean to exclude pets, but sorry our family is allergic!

If you don't have time to get your costume together before Halloween, this is a great idea for your next AC Party!
