Show Your Customers and Employees You Appreciate Them

Todd Hicks
Do you have a habit of not giving your customers and employees the thanks they deserve? If you do not, that is a shame. Anyway, it is a good thing that you want to change your ways. You will learn great ways to show customer appreciation and employee recognition.

The First Way to thank Customers: Depending on the type of business you have, you should sometimes give those who frequently come in their stuff "on the house". For example, I occasionally got a free order of biscuits from Popeye's or a free colored resume paper service from a local printing service due to being a "regular" several years ago.

The Second Way to thank Customers: You could hold a special day for them. This could feature an event in which you give away prizes or sell some of your items at a highly reduced price.

The Third Way to thank Customers: You should find a way to reward your most loyal shoppers. For example, you can give those who subscribe to a mailing list or a membership program awesome discounts and special gifts.

The Fourth Way to thank Customers: They deserve praise. You must always thank them for their business and wish them a good day.

The Fifth Way to thank Customers: You should sometimes give them a complementary gift. For example, if they buy a book, you could give them a bookmarker.

The First Way to recognize Workers: If one of them is the most productive and most pleasant to work with for the month, you should officially recognize that. You can do this by naming him or her the employee of the month.

The Second Way to recognize Workers: If they excel month to month, you should reward them through their pocketbooks. Give them a raise and promotion.

The Third Way to recognize Workers: You should recognize them for doing a task well on a daily basis. You can do this through praise and a freebie such as stationery or candy.

The Fourth Way to recognize Workers: What should you do if you desire to thank your entire staff at once? You can do something such as holding a company party.

You have learned great ways to show customer appreciation and employee recognition. If you incorporate them into your routine everyday, you are going to make the day a lot better for yourself, your customers and your staff.
