This is an appetizer that is simple yet visually appealing and creative. There is also a lot of room for variation to suit your tastes.

Serves 4

Ingredients:

4 Whole Tomatoes, A little bigger than your fist

16 Shrimp, 25 ct. Cooked, Chilled, Peeled

1 Cup Ketchup

2 Tbls Worcestershire Sauce

1 Tbls Hot Sauce

½ Tsp Minced Garlic

4 Small sprigs of Fresh Parsley

What you will need:

Sharp Knife

Cutting Board

Mixing Bowl

Small Wisk

Measuring Cup

Measuring Spoons

Spoon

Instructions:

Cut the tops off of the tomatoes. Be sure to only cut off a little bit. It should be between half and inch to an inch.

Next use the spoon to scoop out the meat of the tomato, careful not to damage the walls of the tomato. This will form a little bowl.

Place the tomatoes on a plate, and then place the plate in the freezer. This will cause ice crystals to form around the tomato giving it an elegant, five star, look.

Mix together the ketchup, garlic, hot sauce, and Worcestershire sauce in the mixing bowl. Set in the refrigerator to chill.

When the tomatoes are frozen and the cocktail sauce has chilled put the cocktail sauce in the 'tomato bowls'. About ¾ of the way full.

Next, evenly place the shrimp around the rim of the 'tomato bowl'.

Garnish by placing a small sprig of fresh parsley in the middle.

Enjoy.
