Shrimp Dip With a Kick -
This shrimp dip recipe is great for a party or small gathering and easy to make. If you are going to serve this at a party, add some chips or wheat thins around a bowl so people can come and dip when they want. For this recipe you can substitute cocktail sauce for the chili sauce, and add a few more drops of Tabasco sauce for a spicier taste.
Ingredients you will need
1 (8 ounce) package of cream cheese
1 small can of shrimp or 1/4 pound of fresh shrimp diced
1 cup Miracle Whip (you can substitute with regular Mayonnaise)
1/2 cup chili sauce (you can use cocktail sauce if you would like)
1 teaspoon horseradish
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
2 drops Tabasco sauce
Directions
Blend all ingredients together with mixer until mixture has a thick look to it.
For best results with the flavors leave the blended mixture overnight in the refrigerator.
Remove from refrigerator at least one hour before serving to keep it chilled.
Shrimp and Mushroom Soup Dip -
This is another easy shrimp dip recipe to make and goes great for any Super Bowl party or small gathering. You can add some chips or wheat thins surrounding a bowl. This one is easy to make and serves 4-6 people.
Ingredients you will need
1 (6 ounce) can baby shrimp or 1/4 pound of shrimp diced
1 can of Cream of Mushroom soup (Campbell's makes a great Cream of Mushroom Soup)
1 8 ounce package of cream cheese
1/2 cup mayonnaise (any Mayonnaise will work for this)
1/2 cup celery, chopped and diced
1/2 cup green onion, chopped and diced
1/2 tablespoon dill weed (this is optional, taste the mix before adding to see if you want it or not)
Directions
Warm the soup in a saucepan on the stove. Do not add water to the soup; use the undiluted soup.
Stir in the cream cheese until it is melted while continuing the heat.
Pull off of the heat and add rest of ingredients.
Serve warm or you can put it in your refrigerator until your party to keep it chilled.
