That's only the beginning of the story. And it's not just the South. Getting America healthy is imperative, and it seems it's going to take simplistic, easy-to-understand concepts to make people finally 'get it'. But even that probably won't work.
The word is out that humans (and everything else) were created by a god named God. I'm not going to dispute the word, or Word, rather, but I am going to tell you that if you don't improve your eating habits, you will never connect with god. I mean God.
Jesus might still save you, even if you don't start a better diet, but I don't know. I just don't want to put words in anybody's mouth. What I'm trying to say, really, is that eating right happens to be the path to God. Like a ladder, except not like that at all, because this ladder doesn't necessarily bring you higher, nor does it contain rungs, but it does elevate you in a specific way.
There are rumors there's a bad guy out there. He was created by the god named God, and God named him Satan. Satan is the American diet. I'm not making fun of anything you haven't already noticed, or have the capacity to notice. This isn't a conspiracy, because it's not a secret. The American diet is a scandal.
McDonalds and almost all chain restaurants are literally poisonous. It's a slow poison, but, it's deadly. The processed food that lines most aisles of every grocery store, same thing. The high fructose corn syrup in nearly every 'sweetened' product, from cereal to maple syrup to fruit juice. Corn syrup is poison, every study agrees, except the studies funded by the National Corn Growers Association. This stuff possesses your body like Satan. And guess what, it's addictive. Ever heard of comfort food?
We don't even have to get into Monsanto, and genetically-modified 'health' food, treated with an herbicide cocktail. Right now, with the health crisis in America, making small changes will be, relatively speaking, large changes.
I can tell you how to improve your diet, but you aren't going to listen. Here's a start: pick foods with fiber, especially cereals and grains. If there's less than 4g of fiber, it's going to turn to sugar as soon as you swallow it, and your body is going to say, "Sugar! Store it for when we need it next!" If it's white, or light colored, like white bread, pasta, potatoes, or rice, then it's lacking the necessary fiber. And if you aren't running a marathon soon afterward, you don't need it.
If evolution strictly follows its own guidelines, our American bodies should, eventually, learn to shit out the surfeit of simple carbohydrates and sugars we consume hourly. But, at this point in human evolution, the body hasn't learned that trick, and so, like in the old, survival necessary days of tribalism, it stores every iota of sugar in case of a dearth.
Raw fruits and vegetables are a great way to keep your body happy. Sautee raw veggies in olive oil, and that's pretty healthy also. Tea without milk and sugar is good. Salad with very, very little dressing is a health booster. Whole grain bread and pasta are a plus. Sweet potatoes are a power food. Cereals with 5g or more of dietary fiber, and less than 10g of sugar are a good start.
This isn't the only guideline to a better diet, of course. Jennifer Aniston, when recently asked how she managed to look so good and not age, said, "Don't eat shit." And she's right. Eating shit destroys you from the inside out. Jennifer Aniston is connected to God. Her body isn't pinned down by saturated fats and sugared blood. She has, it seems, shunned Satan. With whom do you pledge allegiance?
This is everywhere, and has been for many years. Health magazines, fitness clubs, weight loss programs and shows like Dr. Phil and Oprah. Many have attempted to spread the word of God to you, and help you out with your terrible diet, but you haven't listened. Not that I support Dr. Phil or Oprah. (Read about Oprah & Charles Manson)
What those sources didn't tell you was that you are in alliance with Satan. The Prince of Darkness. How can you transcend the everyday bodily misery of overtaxed organs-like the heart, consider, trying to pump blood through an extra fifty, one hundred, and more pounds of fat, globbed and plastered in arteries, around deteriorated muscles, packed heavily beneath the skin, stretching it-and the fatigue of the extra poundage trudging every step along the way, like an overstuffed suitcase you have decided to always carry?
If this still doesn't make sense, about God and Satan, consider the Hindi yogis eating very little, only to survive, as to not put any more toxins in their body than necessary. They don't do that because India doesn't have enough food for its people (which can be the case, also), but because what they put in their bodies affects not only their physicality, but mentality. And what's the third one? Spirituality. They're all connected, the three of them.
If your head isn't in the right place because your body is working five times as hard as it should to keep you alive, how can you ever make a spiritual connection with anything? I don't want to belabor the point, but so many don't, so far, 'get it'. And haven't 'gotten it' for decades.
A computer, imagine, overloaded with programs, useless data and large files and viruses, performs at a fraction of its possible efficiency. Your body, although not a computer, acts much the same. What efficiency level is your body running at?
Strive for the connection with God. Shun Satan, the American diet. Do a little research; it's out there, all over the place. I'm not going to detail health tips here because there is no room for it, and, also, it's literally everywhere. The information on eating, exercise, healthy diets, can even be found free, folks. Go get it, please. There are conflicting articles, ideas, information, but if you go to a reputable source, read up on it some, you will make certain headway into having a better life.
