Shuttle Services from the Burbank Glendale Airport

Sylvia Cochran
The Burbank Glendale Airport is better known by its latest name: the Bob Hope Airport. Prior to that, it was also referred to as United Airports, Union Air Terminal, Lockheed Air Terminal, and the Hollywood Burbank Airport. While the name might be changeable, the location is the same: the former Burbank Glendale Airport is located at 2627 North Hollywood Way in Burbank, which puts it in close vicinity of the San Fernando Valley, Disney, Universal Studios, Dodger Stadium and of course the Autry Museum.

Several complimentary hotel shuttle services depart from Bob Hope Airport, taking recently arrived travelers to their hotels of choice. There is the Burbank Ramada Inn which is about 1.5 miles down the road. Since it also provides complimentary transportation to Universal Studios, this is a popular place to stay for visitors with that attraction in mind. Other shuttles take guests to the Glendale Hilton, a popular meeting place, the Burbank Marriott Airport Hotel, the Burbank Holiday Inn, the pet friendly boutique Hotel Amarano which offers complimentary shuttle services to anywhere within a three mile radius, and finally to the Coast Anabelle Hotel & Safari Inn.

Other shuttles are a convenient method of being taken to Bob Hope Airport without having to hail a cab. They are not free of charge, but rates are usually reasonable. The Xpress Shuttle is one such service which operates on 24-7 accessibility. Serving Amtrak Station, the Antelope Valley, L.A. County and other surrounding areas is the Super Shuttle. This company offers the benefit of offering a shared ride or a private sedan service as part of its ExecuCar program.

The Golden West Express advertises the fact that its shuttles connect to LAX, Ontario and Long Beach airports, making this the convenient option of choice for those hoping to catch connecting flights but unwilling to go for a cab ride. Roadrunner Shuttle and Limousine Service is another commercial shuttle service available at the Burbank Bob Hope Airport. In addition to taking passengers to LAX, it also features rides to the San Pedro World Cruise Center as well as the Getty Museum.

The Prime Time Shuttle serves Orange County and Anaheim and takes those arriving at Bob Hope Airport also to Long Beach's Carnival Cruise Line terminal. The Glendale Airport Van is a shuttle service that maintains a pick up and drop off point at the Burbank Airport, but which is primarily chartered to take passengers to their destination of choice from there.
