The first way, the way that seems quicker and better to me is to gently apply a small amount of toothpaste onto the area of acne. Do not rub it or even spread it out. Just let it sit on top of the swollen area.
The good thing is that toothpaste literally never drips so you won't have to tilt your head back or anything. Sometimes, if you need to get rid of a pimple quick, you can apply it to a bandage and put it on your face. This is a good thing to do if you'd like to sleep and clear your acne at the same time.
However, this isn't recommended for a whole area of pimples as it can sting a little and can sometimes sting your eyes depending on where the pimple is. For large area of acne, I recommend bandaging a lime juice-dipped cotton ball or the acne area. This can also be done whilst sleeping. While the toothpaste way is much more effective, the lime juice will without a doubt be the easier way to go since it won't irritate your skin at all.
These are two ways that have helped me in the past and continue to help me; I hope they can help you.
