If you are a Warhammer miniature game fan you will love Nanostar Siege. This squad based game is a very apt adaption of the whole miniature games genre.

After running through the short tutorial you are dropped into the world of Nanostar siege with a couple heroes, a couple squads, and some gold. The first thing you must decide is the path you wish to take. Do you want to create strong squads? Or do you want to supplement your squads with great heroes? Either way it is going to take gold and time.

The heroes store is a great place to buy your heroes. Heroes are not pieces on the game board but rather your hero base is what you draw from (randomly) to supplement the squads you purchase each round. The right heroes, drawn and used at the right time, make a very large difference in your success or failure.

The squads are you main forces. Whether you choose brute force or ranged weapons (or a combo of both) you will be faced with an opposing force and heroes that are trying to stop you from sacking the enemies castle. Timing, luck, and skill all play a big part in the final outcome.

As you play a skill bar will fill on the side of your screen. Each level of this bar will give you some sort of bonus when you click it. Whether you want another squad (for free), single units (for free), or a quick refresh of your hero base (basically giving you all your heroes back) there is a perfect time to cash in those points in a battle. Timing when is critical in some of the upper level battles.

The music and sounds are kind of cheesy, even considering the fact it is a Facebook flash game, and the graphics are low end top down view. Considering all that it is still a cute game for the genre it is. This is a worthy game to kill a few minutes on here and there but probably not one you will seek out on a regular basis, unless you are a hardcore miniature gamer.
