A poem. Villanelle. A sienna moon on a balmy summer's night.
On this balmy summer's night
A sienna moon doth brightly glow;
The earth is bathed in orange light.
Fat and full and round tonight,
The moon now sets the world aglow
On this balmy summer's night.
The lunar orb, a splendid sight,
Rises o'er the eastern meadow;
The earth is bathed in orange light.
Field and forest set alight
By the moon's nocturnal show
On this balmy summer's night.
As the tawny tinted moonlight
Shimmers on the earth below,
The earth is bathed in orange light.
The sienna moon - such a delight!
An enchanting evening tableau
On this balmy summer's night -
The earth is bathed in orange light.
