Sigma Eyeshadow in Indian Girl - Product Review

Yes, They Make Good Makeup, Too

Layla A.
When I opened up my Sigma brushes, I was excited to see they had included a free gift. Though, typically, free gifts are not very good. After using this for about month, I can safely say they are an incredible company. I know, I know. Everyone who orders gets the same free gift. But, it is still really awesome when the free item is as good quality as this one.

COLOR

In the pot, Indian Girl looks like a sliver-taupe, gorgeous and metallic. When swatched lightly, it shows up on the browner side. However, a hard swipe will leave you with a gorgeous dirty silver color. This is great for a classic smoky eye and really makes the eye pop when used correctly. Actually, it pretty much always makes the eyes look good, no matter how you use it. My favorite thing to do with this color besides a classic smoky eye is patting some over my eyeliner below the lower lash line. Whatever color I use, a light layer of this will make any color look phenomenal.

FORMULA

Sigma obviously makes amazing brushes, but I have to say, their eyeshadow is really high quality, too. It is wonderfully blendable, does not crease, highly pigmented, and very soft and true to color. They are very reminiscent of Urban Decay eyeshadows, and definitely as easy to use.

FUNCTIONALITY

For people who love to do altered versions of a smoky eye, this is the color for you! It will go great with the classic black or even neutral smoky eye. I have also tried this with colored smoky eyes, like blue and purple, and it looked equally amazing. I think this is a great color all around for almost any use. It is great for lid, crease, outer corner, and liner. Anything except maybe a highlight.

PACKAGING

While I love the product inside, I have to say that the packaging is rather cheap looking. It is a thin black pot with absolutely no sticker or indication of the color. It does have the Sigma logo on the clear window, but no other indication of what it is. It is also a glossy plastic, and does not feel very well-made. I have had some problems with closing it, as well. However, as long as the product is good, that's all that matters, right?

PRICE

Indian Girl eyeshadow is not currently for sale individually at sigmamakeup.com, but you can get color kits that are really superb. Indian Girl is in their Neutral Eyes Collection, retailing for $36, which is really a great deal considering how creamy and gorgeous these shadows are.

FINAL OPINIONS

I really highly recommend the Sigma eyeshadows, a pleasant surprise and overshadowed by the brushes. I find this very high quality and hope you get a chance to try one.
