Toys R Us sells a See It and Sign It American Sign Language game that has six games in one plus it comes with a DVD. The DVD has live action demonstrations with five ASL professionals. Every sign is shown clearly so your child can mimic it. Kids will learn the alphabet, numbers and words. The games are ideal for 2 or more players aged 7 to 14. You can purchase this set from Toys R Us for $24.99 online only.
#3: Sign Language Butterfly
The Sign Language Butterfly is a perfect toy for younger kids. The butterfly has a soft body in bright colors of green, red, purple and yellow. The wings are white with colored trim. On the wings are drawings of kids doing sign language for "Mommy," "Daddy" among others. This is available at Mansion Athletics for $18.40.
#4: Alphabet Sign Language Flashcards
Flash cards are one of my favorite ways to help my children learn about something because it allows them to see a picture and fit the pieces together. Kazoo Toys.com sells a set of flash cards that will teach your child the alphabet, sign language style. The cards have pictures of a hand in the position of the letter of the alphabet. Cards cost $10.31 and can be bought at Kazoo Toys.com.
#5: Wooden Sign Language Puzzle
Dolls Like Me sells a Melissa and Doug sign language puzzle that will make learning sign language fun for your child. The puzzle is made out of wood which makes it more durable. Kids place the hands in the right spots. When the hand is removed, you can see the letter of the alphabet and a picture of something that starts with the letter. The hand that fits the slot is in the position of that letter. There are twenty six letter signs and you can buy the puzzle for $19.99.
