If your child is continuously being asked to work at hours or even positions that are outside of the laws for your area this is a serious concern. Not only is the management staff potentially putting your child at danger, they are looking to willfully break the law. At this point, you as the parent need to contact the district manager, as well as the owner for the business if possible and speak to them about your concerns, and let them know that your child will not be returning to their job, and exactly why.
You should also be mindful for times when it seems that the teasing at work is getting to be a bit too much. There are always groups of people at work that are good friends, and there are also groups that seem to do nothing more than enjoy torturing the other employees. While there is always a bit of this that happens, you need to watch to ensure that it is not turning into outright harassment that is being ignored. As long as the teasing stays to a reasonable level then typically, your child will be fine and it is a part of learning how to work with others, but if it ever becomes a case of your child has been threatened then you need to consider pulling your child from the situation.
Observe to ensure that your child is being treated fairly at their job. If they are the only person ever asked to work late, and the only person who is doing all of the hard work despite only being paid minimum wage then looking for a new job might be appropriate. Of course, teaching respect for co-workers is important, but you also should not allow your child to get in the habit of being the person that is taken advantage of at work either. Stepping in when appropriate and removing your child from this situation can help you to correct unhealthy behavior at work before it becomes a habit for them.
