Back Pain
One of the major symptoms of a herniated disk is back pain. Any sort of movement can make your pain worse. A simple cough can make you wince in pain. Try not to cough or strain your body in any way if you have a herniated disk. Go easy on your body if you have back pain. If you have tried a simple pain reliever when experiencing back pain, and it does nothing to relieve your back pain then you may have something more serious than simple back pain. See your doctor if you have really bad back pain so that you get proper medical treatment.
Neck Pain
When you have a herniated disk you may also experience neck pain. You will probably experience neck pain especially if you have ruptured your disc. When you have a herniated disk in your neck you will probably experience pain in other areas of your body too. This includes pain in your arm and shoulder. When you move it can also affect your leg with pain too.
Nerves
Your nerves are deeply affected usually when you have a herniated disk. This is because it affects your spine which is your main nerve center in your body. You may find that one of your symptoms of a herniated disk is tingling in your body. Numbness also occurs when you have a herniated disk. You usually will find numbness especially in your buttocks, arms, and your legs. You may find that you have sciatica symptoms when you have a herniated disk.
Weakness
One of the last herniated disk symptoms that you may experience if you have a herniated disk is weakness in your body. Your nerves will make your muscles weak when you have a herniated disk. You need to be extremely careful because this makes it harder for you to walk without stumbling. You may also find that it is harder to hold items and lift things. If you experience these symptoms of a herniated disk, then see your doctor immediately for medical treatment. There are many signs and symptoms of a herniated disk.
