You can count myself as being one of the people who lives in Buffalo, New York and I've seen some weird things over the years. The weather is a chapter in itself. You never know what your going to get. I think the weather forcasters are stumped and have to do a lot of guessing. That's why I've come up with 13 reasons you know you've been in Buffalo too long.

13. You have used a full size push broom to clear the snow off your car because it's quicker than those tiny little car brushes with the plastic scraper attached at the end. Hey, you can't be late for work so anything that saves you precious minutes is a big help.

12. You left the house for work or school wearing a winter coat, sweat shirt, hat and gloves, but on the way home all you need to wear is pants and T-shirt. Same goes for turning on the car heater in the morning and on the drive home you have the windows down or even the air conditioning on if you can't handle the 40 degree change in weather.

11. You start to get irritable knowing it's the time of the month that your gas bill will be arriving shortly and find out that it''s the same amount that you can lease a brand new Lexus for.

10. You've lost your snowblower key outside and had to wait a few days till the snow melted to be able to see it in your backyard.

9. You've decided not to put out your recyclables on garbage day because your container is buried somewhere in your yard. Hey, there's always next week.

8. You can build a snowman in less than 20 minutes that lasts for weeks. Better yet, you have the expertise and snow drifts to make an entire snow slide that goes from the top of your garage and in to your backyard.

7.You've finally went to a Buffalo Bill's game in December and you are more distracted by your hot chocolate and remembering which way the minus 25 degree winds were blowing.

6. When you've seen three pizza restaurants all on the way to the grocery store.

5. You have your choice of three Tim Horton's drive thru's on the way to work and compare them with which workers are the nicest to you.

4. You've left your car heater off when it was 20 degrees outside because by the time you arrived at the store, the car wouldn't be warm yet.

3. You've seen someone wear an old Buffalo Bill's winter coat during a spring softball league game.

2. When you've worried that you might get stuck at work because on the radio they said the snow storm is accumulating an inch and a half of snow per hour and you still have 7 hours of your work day left.

1. You've stored beverages in the trunk of your car because it makes it convenient to grab a cold one if you were thirsty when you were out somewhere.

Love these! I don't live there but have been there three times. August was freezing cold, got turned around in Battavia because the highway was closed due to the falling 101 inches of snow in two days, and once when we were very young and went for our final week of summer vacation in Spetember figuring it would be a good time to see Niagra Falls only to discover we needed to buy winter coats and long pants when we got there.

Never been to Buffalo. Sounds like I don't want to visit in the winter.
