Quiet and easy
The sun hits the floor
This is my time in the light
Behind these closed doors
A crumbled past
Scars open to the light
I'm stuck standing still
Searching for the will to fight
Heat on my skin
Shadows in the grooves
I finally feel in place
With nothing left to prove
Sun goes down
And the cool air bleeds through
Suddenly under the silence
I can still hear you
Forget about it
That rings true in my head
But I can't seem to say
