Silence is the Loudest Sound of All

A Poem

Etienne J. Sarfelli
His arm curves around my waist

And he holds me close to him

His hand falls to rest on my body

As though it were an extension of his own

He does not let me go too far away from him

Before he pulls me back to his side

My head rests against his shoulder blade

Or sometimes in the crook of his arm

And he places his cheek close to mine

He holds me like he loves me

But he never says a word
