Silent Sea

Kitty Stevens
Velvet was the way it felt as I gently came to see ,
nothing that had been before and now nothing else could be,
quite as real as that moment was upon the silent sea.

The brown pools were deep and real that day,
so happy on that shore.
The happiness was blissful in a way that had never been before.

The skyline of the buildings lined the view for us to see,
deep and soft was the feeling there upon that lovely scene.
Nothing else seemed to exist as I came to slowly be in a world that
would be different now with the music for you from me.

Let's stay here just for now and let this moment somehow be,
the culmination of the years that we seemed destined here to meet.
The velvet softness of the way it felt as we came to be
in that place where our paths had crossed on the silent sea.
