Through the screen I snapped a shot,
Though the image blurry;
A little deer all by himself,
Slender and so furry.
Not a fawn nor doe nor buck,
but somewhere in between.
A little one out on his own,
A sight that rarely seen.
He peeked at us with big brown eyes,
At first a little wary.
And, then as though he realized,
It was allright to tarry.
